Movie Night

Movie Night helps you find something you both want to watch. Each partner chooses Yes or No privately, and a title becomes a match when you both choose Yes.

Find your next watch​

Open Together from Home, then choose Movie Night. Together appears once you have a linked partner.

Use Pin to Home in Movie Night settings to always keep it on Home. You can pin up to two Together activities; free spaces show random activities. Unpinning does not prevent Movie Night from appearing randomly. This choice saves right away, separately from your viewing preferences.

  1. Open Discover and review a title.
  2. Choose Yes if you would like to watch it, or No to move on. You can also swipe right for Yes or left for No.
  3. Continue at your own pace. Your partner can vote at a different time.

When you both choose Yes, an It's a match! message appears and the title joins Matches. You can return to that list when you are ready to plan your watch night.

Review your choices​

  • Discover — find the next title to consider.
  • Matches — see titles you both chose.
  • My votes — review your own Yes and No choices.

Changed your mind? In My votes, swipe a title left and choose Remove vote, then confirm. You can also use the three-dot button on the title. This removes your choice and any match for that title; your partner’s vote stays. If the title is still in your current selection, it returns to Discover so you can choose again.

Your partner's individual voting history stays private. A match tells you that you both chose Yes for that title.

If Discover is temporarily empty, use Retry to look for more suggestions.

Adjust your preferences​

Open the settings button in the Movie Night header.

Include series adds series to the suggestions alongside films. Turn it off if you only want films.

You can also enable Netflix and choose your country. Netflix is off by default, and is offered only where it is supported. When both partners choose Netflix and a country, the shared feed can focus on titles available in both catalogs. If only one person has set a service, availability for the other person is not confirmed.

Save your changes when you are ready. ReKindle prepares the updated selection before replacing the remaining cards. Your votes and matches are kept.

Streaming catalogs change, so check availability in your service before settling in to watch.

Together is hidden on Home when your accounts are no longer linked. Shared activities require a linked partner; see Partner linking for help connecting again.

Credits and help​

The information button at the bottom of Discover shows the film-data and streaming credits for TMDB and JustWatch. Use the help button to replay the in-app guide.
